About the Magazine

We are a trade publication and not a tourist guide.

Africa Travel Magazine is the official media voice of the Africa Travel Association — a bilingual, B2B publication serving travel agencies, tour operators, and tourism ministries across North America, Europe, and Africa since 1995.

We write against the tendency to treat the continent as a single destination. It is fifty-four countries. Our back issues are still used as sales tools by tourism ministries a decade after publication.

From the Editor and Publisher

We write for permanence not the passing parade.

We prefer articles of substance and long-term interest, rather than the passing parade. That is why our back issues become keepers – used as sales tools by countries and tourism agencies, with back issues in demand for up to ten years.

Our focus is positive, non-political journalism about African destinations and the industry that serves them.
